How Abhishek scored 96 in the CPA Audit Exam?

One of the students at Simandhar Education named Abhishek (CA, CPA Aspirant), scored 96 in the CPA AUD exam.

He shared his preparation tips for the exam.

I’m Abhishek, a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and pursuing the US CPA course from the most reputed CPA institute Simandhar Education. Here, I’d like to share my CPA exam study tips.

1. Don’t try for shortcuts. Always try to cover everything in the CPA syllabus. Although there are some important CPA exam topics, you have to touch every topic. One thing must be kept in mind that there is only a single point difference between the scores 74 and 75.
2. From the CPA material point of view, Becker material + Simandhar classes are more than enough to get a good CPA exam score.
3. In the CPA Audit exam, it’s hard to read and understand the question because they play with wordings to confuse us most of the time.
4. Try to use the method of elimination when you are stuck in answering Multiple-Choice Questions. Try to be like an auditor and pick the conservative answer from the perspective of an auditor.
5. Concentrate more on some of the heavily tested audit procedures and assertions in the CPA Audit exam.
6. I’m working full-time; hence I study in the early mornings and listen to the CPA lectures while driving.
7. I always believe in reinforcements and revisions. I try to do 30 MCQs and 3 testlests of the previous module before going into the next module. It helps me a lot in the final revision.
8. I’m not a note making person. That’s why, while reading I make stuff in the textbook.
9. The A4 Task-Based Simulations are essential; try to master them more. There would be at least 2 to 3 SIMs with many exhibits in the CPA exam. Be patient and always practice in advance.
10. In the Task-Based Simulations, you have to practice payables recon, correcting entities, AR confirmations regularly.
